ACL Return to Sport Programming
PTU ACL Return to Sport Programming was created in collaboration with Doctors of Physical Therapy at PTU and is currently managed by Dr. KiKi Levesque who is an original creator of the programming. All ACL Return to Sport Programming courses are 6 weeks long and include 3 workouts per week. Your phase of programming is determined by your physical readiness and months passed since your surgery. ACL RTS programming is available to those who are >6 months since surgery and whose surgeon has approved a return to sport transition. ACL RETURN TO SPORT IN PERSON UPGRADE!
Available in person at all PTU locations.
This package includes the appropriate phase of return to sport above as well as a full in-person assessment. This package is for those who are fully dedicated to their best possible return to sport body and ready to put in the work required.
This package is scheduled by calling the front desk and mentioning the ACL Return to Sport Program in-person assessment.

ACL RETURN TO SPORT PHASE 1
ACL Return to Sport Phase 1
A 6 week online/app program created by a Doctor of Physical Therapy focused on building lower body strength, single leg balance, and an introduction to plyometrics. This program includes 3 workouts per week that you will complete at your home or gym.
Once complete you may progress to ACL Return to Sport Phase 2.
ACL RETURN TO SPORT PHASE 2
ACL Return to Sport Phase 2
A 6 week online/app program created by a Doctor of Physical Therapy focused on building lower body power, deceleration/landing mechanics, acceleration, jumping, and introduction to change of direction required for agility drills. This program includes 3 workouts per week, completed at home on your own, to prepare you for your return to non-contact participation in sport. This program will also include a return to running program to begin building your cardiovascular endurance.
ACL RETURN TO SPORT PHASE 3
ACL Return To Sport Phase 3-
A 6 week online/app program created by a Doctor of Physical Therapy focused on maintaining strength and power gains made in Phase 1 and Phase 2, building sprinting/running tolerance, and sport specific agility drills to get you back to your sport with improved confidence! This program will contain a Return to Sprint progression that you will complete on your own to get you ready for game level intensity. Let’s make the comeback better than the setback!
